These guidelines will be enforced and must be adhered to in AbsMad Tawk Forum. Please read them before posting.
- No images or banners in signatures.
- Avatars are not allowed.
- Photo uploading is disabled. You will need to host your photo elsewhere and link to it in your post for the image to appear.
- Only one account per person is permitted.
- Keep all posts on-topic.
- Do not astroturf or pretend to be/represent somebody else. Your account will be deleted if found to be in breach of this rule.
- Do not discuss illegal activities. Our server is hosted in the USA and so is subject to US law. Please do not expose us to any unnecessary legal liability.
- Check that your question has not been answered anywhere else on the site. Use the search feature.
- Post your comment/question to the most appropriate place. Any posts deemed to be in the wrong forum will be moved. Do not cross-post the same question to multiple places.
- You Must Be 18-Years Old or older to participate in the Adult Forum.
- Use your own words. If you wish to use the words of somebody else, quote them, citing the source. Plagiarism is unethical and is illegal in many countries.
- Choose an appropriate subject line. Try to summarise the problem briefly in the subject, and elaborate in the message itself. Repeat the subject in the body if it will make things clearer. Do not use all caps and do not add false information just to get attention. An example of a bad subject would be "HELP ME". A good subject might be, "Where Can I Find 'Let Down Your Guard'?".
- No useless posts ie one liners/thread bumping etc etc.
- Thank those who help you. Acknowledgement of a helpful suggestion not only placates those who helped you, it may also help others with a similar problem. All those who have been helped on this forum are invited to help other users by responding to their questions when they know the answer and/or to consider donating to the project.
- Choose an appropriate message board alias. Aliases that contain foul language or borderline foul language, that match the name of a famous person or that mock other posters will not be accepted.
- Do not have your account set to a false or out of date email address.
- Do not delete or edit your posted messages to invalidate messages made in reply to them.
- Do not argue with a moderator's warning or ruling.
- Do not threatening the AbsMad Tawk Forum, web site, or members.
- We do not invite lectures on how Madonna sucks, or how Mariah Carey or some other artist is "better".
- Do not post messages in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, in eLiTe LeTtErS, or in very large or hard to read fonts or colors.
- Do not use the private messaging system to attack another member.
- Please do not overpromote a site. We have no problem if you post a link to a various site on a sporadic basis, but if the majority of your posts are made with the purpose of advertising a site, they will deleted and your account will be deleted as well.
- Your past history on other boards will also be taken into account. If you have a history of causing problems elsewhere, you may be scrutinized closer or possibly not allowed to post at all.
More on Signatures:
- Must be setup in your Profile (link up near the top, next to Madonna Tawk) , and not manually added to your messages.
- May NOT contain any images.
- May not contain any pricing, sales, product etc. details.
- May contain a maximum of two smilies. Or one animated smiley.
- May include two clickable links. URL's or mailto:
- May include two colors. Hyperlink color is set by the forum and is not counted as a color.
- Maximum font size cannot be larger than normal.
- Must be kept to a maximum of four lines (at 1024 resolution).
- May not contain links to other threads or posts.
- Your signature is your signature. It is not for sale or rent.
- Any signature that is offensive or insulting to either us, our members, or our staff, are prohibited.
- We reserve the right to ask you to change and/or remove your signature at any time, for any reason.
At all times:
- Keep all commentary civil, and be courteous at all times. Constructive criticism is welcome, but insults directed towards other users or the site admins will not be tolerated. Coarse/insulting language will not be tolerated.
- No commercial advertising is permitted. Any posts deemed to be self promotion, advertising, or spam can and will be removed. NO SPAM - NO ADVERTISING eg. Posting and making unnecessary references to your products and websites is self promotion.
- If you feel a post violates any of these rules, please use the ‘report to modertor’ link to notify the moderators.
Failure to abide by these rules may result in an editing, negative moderation or deletion of your post. We reserve the right to ban abusers from the site. We reserve the right to change these rules at any time.
This message board is not a democracy, at best it is a benevolent dictatorship. Forum Master, Captain Jay, has set the following rules for AbsMad Tawk and has given the Forum Captains the power to limit or deny access to those who insist on violating them. We hope that such extreme measures are never needed, of course. However, please be aware that the Forum Captains have very little tolerance for problem posts.
While the AbsMad Tawk Forum Captains try to enforce these rules fairly, please accept that things are not always going to seem absolutely fair. The Forum Captains are not only human but their primary duty is the long-term good of AbsMad Tawk and its entire membership. The long-term good of the board may sometimes require actions that are not absolutely fair from other points of view. For example, a long time member who has posted hundreds of messages and then has a bad day and breaks a lot of rules is far more likely to be cut some slack than a new member who starts breaking rules within their first few posts.
Failure to follow these rules may result in any of the following:

Temporary or permanent message board membership deletion, which removes your posting privileges but not your ability to read the boards

Temporary or permanent message board bans, which removes your posting privileges and your ability to read the boards

In extreme cases, we may pursue further action, including the blocking of your IP address (which will block your access to the entire site not just the forum), contacting your ISP to report your actions, or contacting your local authorities.
